Discover the benefits of swimming and Lifeguard class

A short time ago, I decided to learn Lifeguard class, and I actually went to the nearest club and started swimming. In fact, I loved it, as it is really food for the mind and body. If you are looking for a simple sport that improves your mood and does not make you feel severe joint pain after completing the exercise, go swimming. There are many other benefits of swimming , which you will discover in the following lines:

1- Swimming works well for losing weight. When you swim for half an hour, your body loses 376 calories, which is a much greater number than what you will lose by walking or riding a bike .

ne of the benefits of swimming is also that it relieves tension and stress. According to studies, 68% of people who swim feel good about themselves, and 70% feel that their mind has become clearer and fresher.

3-  Swimming improves your mood significantly, as it relieves you of feeling depressed, sad, or stressed. Even if you are a beginner in learning to swim, you will feel a noticeable improvement after training.

4- If you dream of an athletic and graceful body, go swimming, as water resistance is much greater than air resistance, and this helps you build muscle more easily than any other exercise.

5- Did you know that while swimming you carry only 10% of your weight, you relieve pressure on your bones, muscles and joints, so those who suffer from arthritis problems are always advised to go swimming as their best sport.

6- Swimming is one of the sports that can regulate sleep, and thus it protects you from feeling insomnia.

7- Swimming regularly improves the level of blood circulation, maintains blood sugar levels, reduces cholesterol and blood pressure, and thus protects against heart disease and stroke.

Toxic Water

Unlike swimming pools where the water is carefully monitored, the outside water is constantly changing in composition. This means that chemicals can leach into wild water from nearby farms or industrial areas, animals can defecate in the water, and in certain areas human sewage may be legally or otherwise dumped into the water.

There may be no warning signs of local hazards, and the presence of toxic agents may not be evident. When in doubt about the chemical safety of outdoor water, it is best not to enter it. If the water doesn't look or smell good, trust your instincts.

There are also natural hazards to outdoor water compared to swimming pools, especially in the summer. Blue-green algae is a type of bacteria found naturally in lake ecosystems. In warm summers, algae tend to overgrow and form a green scum (known as bloom) on the surface of the lake. Blue-green algae blooms can release toxins that are harmful to humans and sometimes fatal to pets.

Swimming or swallowing water containing toxin algae blooms can cause skin rashes, eye irritation, severe gastrointestinal upset, fever, and muscle and joint pain.
